🏮 What is Yi Peng & Loy Krathong?

Yi Peng (Sky Lantern Festival) is a traditional Northern Thai celebration where thousands of glowing lanterns are released into the sky, symbolizing the release of misfortunes and the welcoming of blessings.

Loy Krathong is celebrated by floating flower baskets (“krathongs”) on rivers to thank and ask forgiveness from the water goddess. Together, they create one of the most visually stunning and meaningful nights in Thailand.

Travel itinerary

* 08.00 a.m. Trip To Thai tour company staff will be waiting to welcome and serve you on November 5th at the hotel lobby.

* 14.30 p.m. meet at the hotel lobby to check the list of people traveling to the lantern festival before departure.

* 15.00 Depart by air-conditioned private bus to the floating lantern festival venue in Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province.

* 16.00 Arrive at the venue, the staff will take you to the event. It is free time for you to watch the performances and local games of various tribes of Lanna, the arts and culture of Lanna people, as well as souvenirs, mementos, and snacks which are free to eat throughout the event.

* 18.00 Enjoy delicious Lanna and Thai cuisine.

* 19.00 Take you to the area where the great floating lantern event is held. After that, you will watch the beautiful and unforgettable floating lantern performance and ceremony.

* 20.30 Take you back to Chiang Mai city and drop you off at two points: 1. Night Bazaar 2. Return to the hotel.
